Update on Dogs

Well, Friday brought an interesting start to our weekend. Who knew the weather was going to be so bad? God protected us and our home. Thomas and John were in Hattiesburg. CC and I were eating...cuz you know I am pregnant and that is what I do best! So we saw the hail and black clouds go by at Beagle Bagel and then the power went off. So we headed home, and saw the damage. A bunch of trees were down in our backyard and our fence was down. We now have a mini pool in our backyard. But it is wasn' t anything a chain saw and John's hardwork couldn't clean up. Our neighborhood was hit hard, but nobody was injured, praise God. So, John came back up from Hattiesburg and he got to work cleaning. We thought we had our fence repaired, but while we were taking his dad's truck back, the dogs got out. I went inside to get our stuff ready to go back to Hattiesburg-we did not have any power-. I called John because I could not find him and he said the dogs had gotten out. He was out looking for them, but wanted me to just stay there. The next thing I know, I get a phone call from him saying Morgan got hit by a car, for me to please come get Gracie. Well, due to the recent events at our home ( trying to find a new home for them), I just felt horrible for John. John and his sweet brother Daniel, rushed Morgan to the vet downtown to see what could be done to help her. John had figured out in the car it was either her lungs or her back. Well the x-ray showed that she broke her back/ spinal cord in half. John decided it was best to put her to sleep. So with all that said he got back home, packed up and we drove back to Hattiesburg. We knew the best thing for us was to see Thomas and get some of his good hugs and kisses on both sides.

That is so sad. I have had to go through the putting a dog to sleep and one being hit and killed by a car. That is a rough experience. You are in my prayers.

So sorry. I hate hearing these kinds of stories. It's so hard to lose a member of the family, even if they happen to have 4 legs.
