Grits Anyone?

You might not be able to see the grits all over Thomas. You just gotta love a 1 year old feeding himself grits.....guaranteed to be all over the place and then some.

Wedding in Natchez

On Saturday night, my whole family went to Natchez to my cousin's wedding. My family(both sides) have large amounts of cousins. This was my great aunt's daughter. My cousin Mary Helen and I used to stay with them when we were little. They lived across the bay in Bay St. Louis in a great old house. They had a pool, a sewing machine with hand made design clothes they would make for us and just about everything you could imagine playing with. Well, long story short. They lost everything in Katrina, and a few months later lost their daddy. But they have such a strong faith and family, through it all they kept on counting their blessings. They are so much fun and really know how to through a wedding/party. The wedding was at Dunleith Plantation and receiption afterwards. It was probably one of the best ever. When the band started playing, Thomas just lit up. He loved the music and dancing. We credit the Wiggles and his silly momma for teaching him what he knows. Here are some pics.

Baby Mattern Is On The Way

We had a busy but fun weekend. We had a shower for Alicia(in the pink and brown) and baby girl Ally. It was alot of fun and Ally got some really cute girl stuff. Sorry Sarah, my big head is covering you up. Sarah's hashbrown casserole was the hit of the shower..very yummy. I wil have to find the recipe and post.

Piano Man

Thomas discovered the piano last weekend at my parent's house. My sweet daddy and Thomas playing the piano together. My parents still do not have grandparent names.....we are waiting to see what Thomas calls them???

Happy 4th

Our new/old neighborhood has their annual July 4th parade ever year. I think this was year number 30 and Thomas's first. He invited some of his friends over. We had such a good time-eventhough it was so so so hot! Here are some pre-parade pics.
