Christmas 2009

I know it is January, but better late than never!!

Our gourmet Christmas lunch...Chicken nuggets, cheese, and cupcakes to celebrate the Best Birth Ever!! Thank you God for your gift to us..

We were in Hattiesburg for 4 days, drove in for Christmas Eve with John's family, ans so Christmas day was just our little family.

Caroline and her gift from Santa...a vacuum/dust buster 2 in 1. This girl loves to clean. We didn't take too many picture Christmas morning. I have John a flip video recorder so we used that. Plus my picture taking skills/camera are not good. All my pics are very blurry. But...good news is...I got a new camera. I am kind of scared of it...but I am learning how to use it. It take really good pictures, so hopefully our pics will get much better.

The kids putting out cookies for Santa. This is the best I got. Thomas also put our reindeer food. He chose ham and an apple...yummy!!

I did take some pictures from Christmas at CC's but they were all very dark and blurry. Here are the two playing in Caroline's new doll house she got at CC and Poppie's. Notice the wings...they are still on. He really loves Buzz!

Yes this is my family....The men got these great Christmas t-shirts in their stocking. John's says Merry Christmas from the street....Sesame Street that is. I think Chad's is my favorite...t-shirt that is suppose to look like a Christmas sweater visit. Thomas is wearing his new Buzz wings!

I think this picture is cute because they are both looking at each other, smiling. This is Caroline's favorite spot at my mom and dad's..the bar..where she eats!!

Our family

There is this great place ( really someone's house) in Purvis that has all these lights. You park, get out, and walk through this trail of Christmas decor. One side celebrates the birth of Jesus and the other side has Christmas characters. If you are ever down that way ( Purvis is about 20 minutes from Hattiesburg) you should go. It is great!!!

Thomas had his school Christmas party this morning. Caroline had the best time. Look at her at the table with the rest of his friends. Her eyes kept getting bigger and bigger as they brought all the treats around. You see those christmas tree cake pops...they are so good. Bakerella has made them very popular. I caught Caroline trying to eat her third one! She loves to eat!!

Thomas in front of the really neat tree at our church.

More Christmas Pics

We went to Canton to see the lights, rooms of stuff, and of course drive the cars!

Going To See The Big Guy

Here are some pics of us going to see "the big guy", as Thomas calls him, last week at Bass Pro.

Somebody loves her daddy!!!!

Sorry I didn't flip the pictures. You notice lambie got to come. He came last year to visit.

Look at his face trying to drive the remote control car!

This is Thomas beside his Christmas tree. He decorated it. This year, I put up our big tree in the den with no ornaments and let the kids have their tree in the kitchen. Thomas decorated it and Caroline takes the ornaments off the tree and breaks them. So we only have a few. But, it does look better than it did in this picture. I got some colored lights for it. Caroline has only pulled it over on herself twice...so we are making some progress. They love the trees, the lights outside, and our blow up Santa. Kids really do add JOY to the Christmas spirit.
Yes Thomas is wearing his MSU shirt. We went to the game....all 4 of us and they did really good. There was a man by us that had the largest and loudest cowboy I have ever seen. He let Thomas ring it...and that made him happy. Thomas has really gotten in to football. He wants to know who everyone is?...you know bulldog, rebel, Alabama crimson tide, Florida gator. Saturday was a happy day for us!

On the night before the big game, we went to Calera, Al to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole. The kids had fun. Thomas got teased and speechless when Santa came by. Caroline got wild on the chocolate milk. These pics were taken outside waiting for the Train. My camera died on the train...but I think John actually got some pictures.

November

Pics from Thomas' school Thanksgiving party. This is his new smile with his face all scrunched up. His new friend at school. He woke up this morning and asked what day is it. I told him that we were on vacation this week. He said he was going to miss his buddy and Mrs. Cary.

This is his teacher, Mrs. Cary. She is great. She has been teaching K3 for 31 or 32 years. She is super sweet and been such a blessing to us. Thomas loves her and loves school!

Caroline in training for her duties. She likes raking leaves, still enjoys vacuuming, and now is learning to clean up her toys!!! She is talking a whole lot more and even putting some 3 word sentences together. Her favorites are animals and of course the phone. She loves to listen to someone, I mean just anyone talk to her on the phone. She will say hey and bye back to you. We have tried to give her old cell phones, but this girl knows...she wants the real thing. I have no idea where she gets that from! Ha...

So we are home this week, just being thankful for all our blessings! Hope you are too! Happy thanksgiving to everyone!

Happy Halloween

Nothing like a hayride through the neighborhood!! We had a great Halloween with our neighbors. Thanks Brittany for having us all over. So thankful for pretty weather!

Our "dog dog" and dinosaur. This was our 3rd costume to wear. Thursday at storytime they we Tink and a Pirate. Saturday morning, they were Pumpkin Princess and Football player. Caroline loves dogs, so I borrowed this costume from a friend. I know it isn't very girley, but it was just perfect for her.

I had to put bows on her so everyone would know she was a girl. The paw on the costume barked like a dog. Caroline caught on real fast about the trick or treating. Thomas would go first and say "trick or treat". Caroline would get really excited when she saw the bowl of candy and say "mooh" more. However, she wanted to eat the candy right then. I have been carrying on the tradition of what all mothers do....put the candy in a safe place and eat it when you kids aren't around ( or atleast that is what my mom did when we went to school!)

Family photo at our next door neighbors with the cute decorations. Shame on me, I didn't really have any except for the Mr. Potato head pumpkin eyes, nose, ears, and mouth pieces I got at Wal-Mart....perfect for 3yrs and younger...

The two are still sleeping, so I thought I would post. Thomas sleeps for 3 -4 hours every afternoon. We are working on Caroline learning that too. But today, I am being blessed with lots of time. Caroline has learned the word "NO". She says it in a very cute way of course, but she says it about everything!

Check out her new hair do. Caroline's hair has really gotten long on the bottom. So this week, we have being practicing sitting still while I try to fix her hair! She also enjoys brushing her teeth. She will climb up on her stool, get her toothbrush, and toothpaste and brush forever.

Can you tell she wants the camera?

Trying to get a group pic at CC's birthday on Sunday night.

In case you are looking for Drew Breeze, ( I am not sure I spelled his last name correctly) we have him at our house. Thomas has really gotten in to football this year. On Saturday he wear his MSU jersey and on Sunday his Saints.
He knows most of the MSU players name and our coach. He also knows about Tim Teebow, because if there is any sports star you want your child to be like, it is him!

This was taken Tuesday morning before going to bible study. I think it is funny because when I get the camera out, Caroline goes and stands against the wall....every time.

Horse racing throughout the house.

This was actually in September. Thomas loves some "Show N Tell" at school. He had another one today. He had to wear black and bring something black. He took his mickey ears. He loves school and I love that. He always comes home excited about what he has made and is learning a ton! Of course I do ask 50 questions as soon as he is getting in the car. He really is growing up!

Our Week in Review

I have started making Caroline work for her food! She can vacuum and mop pretty good..

I was able to help make John's dream come true this week. He celebrated his birthday this Thursday at Back Yard Burger. Thomas helped me plan it. We actually had soccer practice and then we all usually go eat. I just brought cookie cake and ice cream for the kids. Here he is with all his friends!!!

Our 1st soccer game. Everyone looked really cute! We have some things to work on in soccer. Number 1.... The rules of the game. Thomas was very upset because he wanted the ball all by himself. He then tackled and pushed his own team members when they tried to get the ball. So.....we have some work to do. But, it is a little confusing because they are all trying to get the ball. Kind of like a swarm of bees.

Caroline ready to run.

Both teams lining up ready to play. The cute girl in the pigtails was good! ( I know her mom!) She turned the ball all the way around at our teams' goal and kicked it all the way down to her goal to score!! (Remember they are 3 and 4 yrs old)

The girls cheering for their brothers....aren't the cute!!! I think they could have played too.

Thomas getting ready.

GO STATE!!

We had a great day in Starkville! Caroline loved all the game day excited. She LOVES dogs and loved seeing dogs everywhere.

Thomas and his cowbell. Funny story...We were going into the game. John was holding Thomas with his cowbell. The nice lady said sir, you need to hide that. So I hid it in my bag. The whole way in and up to our seats, Thomas kept asking why we had to hid the cowbell and why he couldn't have it. So, he kept asking the "event" people in matching shirts why he had to hide his cowbell. We couldn't get him to be quiet. Finally, John said that this is the only time we can make an exception to following the rules.

Caroline loved this little cutie. She followed her around.... a lot!

Don't you wish you could eat cookies all day.
