It's a GIRL!!!!

Caroline Elizabeth Cross
arrived this morning at 8:09 a.m.
weighing in at 9 pounds 1 ounce!!!
She was 19 and 3/4 inches long!
Catherine is doing great and so is Beautiful Baby Caroline!!!
The word is that Caroline looks just like Thomas did when he was born.
Thomas played up there this morning and was so happy to meet
his new sister... Then he was ready to go to his "C.C.'s house to play"! (that's John's mama)
When I talked to John on the phone earlier, he said he was "standing at the nursery window watching my daughter Caroline!" and that Catherine was taking a much needed rest =)
They are so appreciative of all the texts, calls, emails and prayers.
I will post pictures as SOON as I can get myself up to the hospital without my kootie filled kids! =)
*posted by MK*
****update!!! I went to the hospital tonight and they are all doing wonderfully! Catherine looks great! Caroline is BEAUTIFUL and already has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger, as you can see by the pictures!!!
Hopefully, they will be coming home Friday!***

Getting Ready For Caroline

Last night and today have been filled with lots of emotions. Gratitude, first for the blessings God has given our family. Nerves, just knowing what will happen tomorrow. And of course a little anxiety about having two babies under 2. But a great friend reminded me of a wonderful verse that we all know....but sometimes just need to hear and truly do what it says.." Trust in the Lord, your God with all your heart....."
We took Thomas to Wacky Bear to make a new friend for himself and for his little sister Caroline. He picked out a monkey for himself and named him Charley. Not sure where Charley came from, but he says he has a new friend and calls him Charley. He picked out the teddy with the pink nose. He named her Curly because that is what Brother Bear from Sesame Street's little sister's name is. Sesame Street is very important at our house right now. We don't miss it! Thomas knows what time it comes on.

Thanks MK for the idea and Jenny for giving Thomas the gift card for his birthday. Thomas had a great time. His favorite thing was brushing their hair. The nice man even let Thomas take the brush home!
Our great blogger friend MK-whom we all love-is going to post some pictures for us as soon as we get some. We truly thank everyone for the sweet comments and prayers as we wait to meet our newest gift, Caroline Elizabeth.

36 weeks, 4 Days

That is what was printed out on Caroline's sonogram this morning!! Everything looked good and she is definitely taking after her brother. We even got to see her cute little face. She was moving her lips. Her father said, "She is already talking......where is her cell phone?" . She weighed/measured around 7 lbs 13 oz- which could be off a little. So, looks like she is going to be a big girl:) My section date was moved up to May the 7th. We are getting very excited and sweet Thomas thinks every time we go somewhere we are going to the hospital to get baby Caroline out!!

We thank God for a healthy report and for giving us His wonderful blessing.

Getting Ready to Be a Big Brother

I took this picture of Thomas on Saturday. He has been helping us get ready for baby Caroline. We got the baby bouncy seat and swing down and he loves to show everyone where baby Caroline is going to sit. He knows that we have to go to the hospital to get her out and that Dr. Missy is going to help. He says he is going to give her a kiss when he sees her. She will be here in 3 Fridays....sometimes it is hard to believe and then sometimes, I feel like I have been pregnant for 9 years. I have not taken any pictures of my belly, which I guess I should. I will be more than happy to describe what I look like- swollen face, big ole belly going straight out with a lopsided baby in there. She is positioned just like Thomas was...very low. We go tomorrow for a sonogram, so we are very interested to see how much she weighs. Thomas weighed 6 pounds 7 oz at 36 weeks. My sonogram will be done at almost 37 weeks. Thanks for stopping by to check on us.

Thomas's Birthday Party

We had Thomas's Birthday Party last weekend even though he does not turn 2 until May. However, his sister is scheduled to come May 9th and his real birthday is May 10th, so we decided to celebrate early. Here are some pics. Thomas had a great time playing with his friends. Thanks to everyone who came.

Sweet Friends

I am not the best at remembering to take pictures. I rely on my friends. I did bring my camera to the party my sweet friend gave me and Caroline. However, the battery was dead!! So I stole these from Jenny's blog. A big thanks to everyone who came and showered us with gifts. Thanks for sharing in our JOY!!!

Update on Dogs

Well, Friday brought an interesting start to our weekend. Who knew the weather was going to be so bad? God protected us and our home. Thomas and John were in Hattiesburg. CC and I were eating...cuz you know I am pregnant and that is what I do best! So we saw the hail and black clouds go by at Beagle Bagel and then the power went off. So we headed home, and saw the damage. A bunch of trees were down in our backyard and our fence was down. We now have a mini pool in our backyard. But it is wasn' t anything a chain saw and John's hardwork couldn't clean up. Our neighborhood was hit hard, but nobody was injured, praise God. So, John came back up from Hattiesburg and he got to work cleaning. We thought we had our fence repaired, but while we were taking his dad's truck back, the dogs got out. I went inside to get our stuff ready to go back to Hattiesburg-we did not have any power-. I called John because I could not find him and he said the dogs had gotten out. He was out looking for them, but wanted me to just stay there. The next thing I know, I get a phone call from him saying Morgan got hit by a car, for me to please come get Gracie. Well, due to the recent events at our home ( trying to find a new home for them), I just felt horrible for John. John and his sweet brother Daniel, rushed Morgan to the vet downtown to see what could be done to help her. John had figured out in the car it was either her lungs or her back. Well the x-ray showed that she broke her back/ spinal cord in half. John decided it was best to put her to sleep. So with all that said he got back home, packed up and we drove back to Hattiesburg. We knew the best thing for us was to see Thomas and get some of his good hugs and kisses on both sides.
