Our Week in Review

I have started making Caroline work for her food! She can vacuum and mop pretty good..

I was able to help make John's dream come true this week. He celebrated his birthday this Thursday at Back Yard Burger. Thomas helped me plan it. We actually had soccer practice and then we all usually go eat. I just brought cookie cake and ice cream for the kids. Here he is with all his friends!!!

Our 1st soccer game. Everyone looked really cute! We have some things to work on in soccer. Number 1.... The rules of the game. Thomas was very upset because he wanted the ball all by himself. He then tackled and pushed his own team members when they tried to get the ball. So.....we have some work to do. But, it is a little confusing because they are all trying to get the ball. Kind of like a swarm of bees.

Caroline ready to run.

Both teams lining up ready to play. The cute girl in the pigtails was good! ( I know her mom!) She turned the ball all the way around at our teams' goal and kicked it all the way down to her goal to score!! (Remember they are 3 and 4 yrs old)

The girls cheering for their brothers....aren't the cute!!! I think they could have played too.

GO STATE!!

We had a great day in Starkville! Caroline loved all the game day excited. She LOVES dogs and loved seeing dogs everywhere.

Thomas and his cowbell. Funny story...We were going into the game. John was holding Thomas with his cowbell. The nice lady said sir, you need to hide that. So I hid it in my bag. The whole way in and up to our seats, Thomas kept asking why we had to hid the cowbell and why he couldn't have it. So, he kept asking the "event" people in matching shirts why he had to hide his cowbell. We couldn't get him to be quiet. Finally, John said that this is the only time we can make an exception to following the rules.

Caroline loved this little cutie. She followed her around.... a lot!

Don't you wish you could eat cookies all day.

1st soccer practice. Doesn't he look cute. I know his shirt says "Bimbo"....John got this real soccer jersey and short set when he was in Mexico a year ago. The shirt is a little tight and the shorts were even tighter so we couldn't wear them. Get ready for 4 on 4 blastball!!! I didn't get too many pictures because I was trying to chase Caroline. She was out in the middle of the field trying to practice as well or in the goal.

Caroline LOVES shoes. She has to put them on first thing in the morning and cries when I take them off of her. If I don't keep the door closed to the mud room, this is what she would do all day.

We took a little vacation....without the children. It was the best ever!!

I am not a very good picture taker. This was our view off our balcony....so beautiful! I highly encourage taking a trip without the children and the place we went :) Good times

K3....

I know I am late. We actually skipped the first two days of school. We went to Hburg while John studied and took his boards. Glad that is over...just waiting for the results.
This is us just before leaving for the 1st day of K3. I think Caroline might be the most excited by her smile. It all happened really fast, walking him in, carrying his stuff, and trying not to tear up. I even had my camera, but didn't get a picture. I was trying not to be that mom ( cuz I remember those from my teacher days) Thomas has a great teacher and a great class. He has some of his friends from MMO out in his class. His best buds and girlfriend are next door. He gets to play with them on the playground. I asked him today if he saw his girlfriend. He said yes, on the playground. I asked him if she looked pretty. He said yes, she was wearing her "kini"(bakini). His room has dinosaurs and so he is happy. He tells me his job is to clean them up. You know like most moms, I am asking 20 questions as soon as he gets in the car. Oh, he also told me that primary colors were red, blue, and yellow...not what I was expecting, but I will take all the info I can get.

I was telling Thomas to stand against the wall and say cheese. Caroline heard me because she joined right in...but she forgot her cheese..

Our swimming skills have come along way...too bad the summer is over. However, I kind of knew this was going to happen. We finally jumped off the diving board this past weekend at my parent's house. We popped our last set of floaties, so thanks to Uncle Mark, we have 4 pairs now. He even knew the right characters to pick out. Thomas is wearing Diego in this picture. Caroline loves floaties, not because she is going to get in the water and swim, maybe just as a fashion statement? She has to have them on with her bathing suit. She even holds her arms out for you to put them on her.

We celebrated Pops birthday also. Thomas kept asking what kind of party he was going to have and was there going to be a jumpy house. So we made him a dinosaur cake to go along with his swimming party. Birthday parties are a big deal for 3 year olds. My mom also made a cheesecake, my dad's favorite. I caught Caroline eating cheesecake after she had cake and ice cream...food is her happy place!!

Tink and the Pirate

The Pirate and Tink Wrestling...she loves it.

Tink in her favorite place. She pulls the cushion out of the chair, climbs up into the chair, stands up, and then jumps.
This little girl is a mess!!!

The Pirate. I got these costumes at the toy sale( same place I got the rocking horses). Thomas loves wearing his around the house. If you live in the neighborhood, he might even be so kind to come to your house. He and his daddy went to the wildlife extravaganza last weekend. John called me on the way home to tell me they had a surprise. I asked if it was alive. No, it wasn't alive.....it was a real wooden sword. As you know with boys, everything can become a sword. Thomas has done pretty good with it. He memorized the 3 rules his daddy told him about the sword. 1. Do not hurt anyone. 2. Do not hurt anything. 3. Use good manners. However, the sword did get broken in half this week, but is being fixed. So, I have told you this story with no picture of the sword. But, because Thomas has a real sword now, he thinks he is a real pirate!

To all our fans.....

Ha...just kidding! I realized I have not posed in a while and since this will be what our kids google when they get older, I better get posting. I do wish I was a better picture taker and scrapbooking mom. But is scrapbooking really the thing to do now since everything is on the computer? All I know is, my kids are growing up way to fast and I just want to remember their childhood. I also want them to be able to look back at pictures....I mean I guess their blog.

Here are the two on their new horses. Got them at a toy consignment sale. For those of yall that now me, I love a consignment sale ( toys or clothes). I went looking for a kitchen and came home with these. But I mean look how cute they are! ( please try to block out all the stuff in the back)
Thomas named them pinky and podie. This is a step up from the stick horses they have. Thomas enjoys riding his stick horse down the street...in his underwear.
We went camping at Jellystone last weekend(-minus Caroline). We had fun. I think the people next to us were glad we only stayed 1 night. Thomas gets up pretty early. Of course I didn't take my camera, but Chrissie did so I can get some pictures from her.

John the builder finished the deck a few weeks ago...here is it. He did a great job.
