What a Pretty Dress!!

A family friend made this beautiful dress for Caroline. Thank you so much Robin.
(I have made 2 of these smocked bishop dresses before in my lifetime. 1 for my future daughter in a class about 2 years ago when I was learning to sew and smock and one for a very dear friend. If you got one of these, you know that you are dear to me...granted I made it before I had kids so I had lots of time on my hands. However, I don't think I will be making any bishops for Caroline. By the time I got it made it would be too small. However, they do make "smockables" that are already put together, you just smock them. These dresses take days...not hours to make! So, there you have it...FYI on smocking and sewing!!)

Caroline has really grown in the past week, not sure if these pictures show it or not. I got some really good smiles from her today and it just melted my heart!! She made me feel so loved. I tried to capture her smiling on camera....you know how that goes sometimes. Here are some shots

Father's Day Fun

Pop Pop we missed you seeing you on Father's Day.

Here are some fun pics of us trying to take pictures with a 2 year old and a 5 week old. We enjoyed spending the day with our daddy and watching golf. Our family is blessed with a wonderful, loving, hardworking, father as well as two grandfathers who love their babies and are very much loved by their grandchildren. Thomas has some new words we aren't quite sure where he learned them from. We are also trying to teach him everyone's names. I asked him about Pop Pop and he said,
"Pop Pop is amazing and wonderful". Then I asked him about Poppie and he replied, "Poppie Harold Cross is wonderful". Could not have said is better!!

Life at our house

Caroline wearing her dress her mom made. Not the best picture though...will have to get another one of her.

One of the things I love about my house is having great neighbors. Big Caroline, Hayes, Mrs. Brittney, and Mr. Troy as Thomas calls them. Thomas got to join in the slip-n-slide fun today.

Thomas loves to cook with his fake food. He is always making food for others and serving it on a tray. His new thing is to clean out my cabinets for me. He loves finding new containers to put his food in. He will say, "Daddy is just going to love it". He is telling Caroline all about his food in these pictures.

Elias came over to play the other morning. They had a good time in the sprinkler...so they got to each lunch in just their diaper.

Things got kind of quiet and this is how we found them. Thomas is "daddy's chair" with the flicker and Elias on the coach. Thomas kept saying watch T.V. He was so proud of himself for turning the T.V. on.

As you can see, things are very busy around our house. Everyday brings lots of joy our way. We are very blessed. t
